This workshop will aim to provide the attendees with a level of confidence and feel better prepared to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers particularly those with a disability. Providing excellent customer service to everyone is an essential part of working with the public. As we strive for equality and fairness in our communities, inclusive communication, understanding and empathising with those who have communication challenges and overcoming barriers to help improve access to services is the responsibility of all of us.
This session will help you feel more confident in challenging situations and provide you with some basic tools and tips that might assist you and will provide opportunities to ask questions and to discuss examples of situations that you may have found difficult.
