Introduction to Coaching Para Bowls Award

The Introduction to Coaching Para Bowls award is our newest Coaching Qualification and is aimed at allowing coaches to experience and understand coaching bowlers with a disability. 

Para Bowls is the fast growing area of Bowls in Scotland and with fantastic results on the world stage  in recent years, we hope to encourage more clubs to encourage Para Bowlers to develop their skills as much as possible.

The course will provide introduction to Visual Impaired Bowls as well as Physically Disabled bowlers. Coaches will get the opportunity to try out some specific Para Bowls equipment, as well as gather hints and tips to make your coaching sessions more inclusive, and open to all players with a disability.

This course has been designed in partnership with Scottish Disability Sport and will provide coaches with the confidence and knowledge to ensure their club is as inclusive as possible.

Structure: 2 Hours online pre-course learning & 3 Hours on-green training (5 Hours)

All pre-course e-learning will be sent to coaches 7 days before courses takes place.
