Introduction and Background
Scottish Disability Sport is delighted to be returning to Dundee & Angus College for their 7th Tayside Parasport Festival.
It is especially exciting to offer this opportunity following the Paralympic Games in Tokyo last year where thousands of athletes from over 100 countries competed and inspired the next generation of young people with a disability.
The Parasport Festival is designed to introduce pupils from mainstream schools with a physical, visual or hearing impairment from across Angus, Perth & Kinross and Dundee to try new and exciting sports. It has been identified that individuals living with physical, visual and hearing are significantly under-represented when it comes to participating in weekly sport or physical activity. Our festival will be delivered by some of the best clubs and coaches available in Tayside.
After the event, the Scottish Disability Sport regional manager Graeme Doig will make contact to share local opportunities, pathways available and support transition into weekly participation.

This year we have added a second day to our festival to incorporate water sports at Perth Leisure Pool.
