Perth & Kinross Disability Sport, in partnership with Perth Archery Club, Scottish Archery and Scottish Disability Sport are delighted to invite entries from across Scotland to the first ever Perth & Kinross Disability Sport Archery Championships. There is no cost to participate in these Championships.

 

ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS:

Any person with a disability who is of secondary school age or older and has been in regular training in the sport. It is requested that youngsters under 16 be accompanied by a parent/ guardian.

 

FORMAT:

This event will follow the same format as the Scottish Disability Sport National Archery competition. Classification shoot followed by head-to-head pool matches.

All entrants will shoot a 9-arrow classification shoot to give them a score between 0 and 90, they will then be grouped into pools depending on that score for head-to-head matches.

 

EQUIPMENT:

Perth Archery Club have a range of bows for use on the day of competition to allow those without equipment the opportunity to shoot. It is very important that notify us should you need to borrow equipment. You can enter this on the entry form.

 

SCHEDULE:

Registration will open at 9.30am and the championships will begin at 10am sharp. The schedule and draw will depend on the number of entries and will be completed one week before the event.

All entrants should be available and ready to shoot at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time of their tie.

9.30am:           Registration & bow-fitting for those without equipment.

10:00am:         Practice

10:30am:         Classification Shoot

11:00am:         Competition

 

POOLS

The pools will be grouped by ability going by the classification shoot, not by bow type or any other classification.

Pool matches will be head-to-head with every arrow counting towards the final total within the pool

The number of arrows per head-to-head match will depend on entries

The winner in each pool will be awarded a Trophy with gold, silver and bronze medals awarded.

We will provide all entrants with our event COVID protocols on staying safe and following Scottish Government, Scottish Disability Sport and Scottish Archery guidance for outdoor sport prior to the event.
