Perth Strathtay Harriers, in partnership with PHysical and Perth & Kinross Disability Sport are delighted to invite entries from across Scotland to our first ever Para-Cross Country Event.
This is aimed at people of all ages with a Physical or Learning Disability, Vision Impairment or Hearing Loss.
Registration opens at 11.30am with the first race starting at 12pm – please register at least 15 minutes before the start of your race, to allow time to collect your race number and do a wee warm up.
Entry to the track is via the car park next to the North Inch Community Campus. The postcode above takes you to the car park and you will see event Marshalls at the entrance gate to guide you in.
This is an outdoor event, please wear clothing appropriate for the weather. The course is suitable for cross-country shoes or short spikes. Please bring a drink and wee snack too.
Trophies will be presented to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd male and female athlete in each age group. Males/females may participate in the same race depending on numbers, however, will be judged separately for results.
There will be participation keepsake for all taking part.
Please note that races may be combined or start earlier dependent on number of entries.
- 12pm - There will be an adjacent flat course for wheelchair users and Frame Runners – approx. 800m
- 12.20pm - Primary school age – approx. 1km
- 12.40pm - Secondary school age – approx. 2km
- 1pm - Seniors (over 18) – approx. 2km
Event Marshalls will be on hand to guide you around the course which will be on grass with a short section on the track.
This event is also an opportunity to practice for the Scottish Disability Sport National Cross Country Championships taking place on 14 March 2024 at Alexandra Park in Glasgow
