Perth & Kinross Disability Sport, in partnership with Live Active, Scottish Curling & Scottish Disability Sport are delighted to invite entries from across Scotland to our Fair City Games 2026 Perth & Kinross Disability Sport Pairs Curling Championships.
The Perth & Kinross Disability Sport Fair City Games include a series of Sports events for people with disabilities to get involved in throughout the year - these include Athletics, Archery, Badminton, Boccia, Lawn Bowls, Curling, Table Tennis, SOMA, Wheelchair Basketball and Swimming.
We’re committed to our No Cost Participation approach which sees our weekly sessions, development and competitive events, education courses and programs delivered at no cost to the participant.
There is No Cost to Participate in this event.
Championship Rules
- There will be two sections of competition, all will be played in Pairs Format. Please note: These may be combined depending on number of entries.
- A - Open Class for curlers with a Vision Impairment
- B - Open Class for curlers who use a Wheelchair
- We will aim to run a round robin competition in each section to allow players to experience more games. This will be dependent on numbers. The final format will be announced following the deadline for entries.
- Each section is open to curlers aged 12 and over who have experience in the sport. Exceptions can be made for those in regular training, contact graeme@pkds.org.uk
- Competitors will at all times abide by the current Rules of the Game. However, some adaptations may be used at the discretion of the organiser.
- This event will be run under Scottish Curling’s COMPETITION DISCIPLINE IN CURLING GUIDELINES
- All matches will last 4 Ends or 1 hour, whichever comes first. Each player will get three stones per end (six per team).
- Registration and practice will be from 9.15am and the event will start at 10am
- Curlers should bring their own equipment and assistant if required.
- Entry to the competition can be made as a pair on an individual basis and pairs will be informed on the day of the event.
