Event Information

The Table Cricket Festival is open to Upper Primary School pupils, Secondary School students (inclusive of ASN Schools and Mainstream Schools Enhanced Provisions etc) and Further Education Institutions across Scotland to come together to participate, compete and enjoy Table Cricket.

What will our participants be doing?: The Cricket Scotland National Table Cricket Festival will feature competitive matches. HOWEVER, the objective of the day is to give participants / schools the chance to enjoy the competitive side of sport in a safe and inclusive environment where participation in the competition is the real achievement.

The competitive aspect will be downplayed on the day instead replaced with an encouraging and enthusiastic atmosphere that anyone and everyone can and should have a go and enjoy the game. All will receive a certificate or medal. Regardless of scores, success will be found and will be celebrated in every match for every team. The team with most points and/or highest run count after matches are completed will be winners.

How many participants can I bring?: There really is no minimum or maximum. A Table Cricket Team consists of 6 - 8 players, however, the game can still work with as little as 4! If you have less than 4 participants but would still like to attend please still get signed up, as long as it is appropriate for your pupils, we can find another team for them to join so nobody misses out!

Similarly if you have more than 8 attending we can divide you into two teams so everyone is more active all of the time! If unsure, please give Connor Brian an email or call at any time and we can help!

Further Opportunities – UK Competitive Pathway:  This festival feeds into the UK wide competitive pathway with Lord’s Taverners. The UK finals are held at Lord’s Cricket Ground every Summer, the winner of the Scottish event will have first refusal of this opportunity to participate.

*There is a maximum capacity of 24 schools / teams, places will be awarded first come first served basis*

(Upon the unlikely event we have more than 24 schools looking to take part we may have to ensure that one local authority does not have the majority of places and allocate places fairly, however this is extremely unlikely)

Your school DOES NOT have to have participated at a Table Cricket Festival prior to attending the Cricket Scotland National Festival.

Table Cricket is an inclusive game welcoming participants with any Disability and/or Additional Support Needs. If you are unsure about the suitability of your students or if you would just like more information about the event/sport, please do not hesitate to reach out to me on the email below or call me on the number below in my email signature.
