About Perth and Kinross Disability Sport

Registered in 2002 with charitable status, the aim of Perth & Kinross Disability Sport (PKDS) is to lead the development of sport and physical activity in Perth and Kinross for people of all ages and abilities with a physical, sensory or learning disability.

As a local member branch of Scottish Disability Sport, we have recently created our new development plan which aims to meet the needs of our local area.

Engage & Participate

To increase opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in sport and physical activities in a safe and secure environment and to encourage more people with disabilities to take part in sport.

Progress and Perform

To create a progressive and competitive events programme and pathway to regional, national and international level.

Education and training

To develop, co-ordinate and promote education and development opportunities for a Perth & Kinross sporting workforce who will be interacting with people with a physical, sensory or learning disability.

Use effective communication to raise the profile of disability sport within Perth and Kinross and beyond, and to ensure everyone is informed of opportunities to participate.

To have an effective and efficient branch and continue to meet Scottish Disability Sport MOR and OSCR regulations.
